Egypt to construct largest petrochemical complex

·        Egypt will construct the largest petrochemical complex to be built in the industrial zone of Ain Sokhna in the Suez Canal Economic Zone

·        This is  a part of the Egypt’s  plan to meet the needs of the local market for petroleum and petrochemical products

·        The project is built on an area of 3.56 million square meters with an investment cost of US$7.5 billion

Egypt will construct the largest petrochemical complex to be built in the industrial zone of Ain Sokhna in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. This is  a part of the Egypt’s  plan to meet the needs of the local market for petroleum and petrochemical products. An agreement towards this was signed recently between the Main Development Company of the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the Red Sea Refining and Petrochemical Company.

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli  was a part of the signing ceremony. This is the largest petrochemical complex to be built in the industrial zone of Ain Sokhna in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.  The contract was signed between the Main Development Company of the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the Red Sea Refining and Petrochemical Company.  The complex will refine and produce  a range of petroleum and chemical products  including polyethylene, polypropylene, polyesters, bunker fuel and other petroleum and chemical products.

The project is built on an area of 3.56 million square meters with an investment cost of US$7.5 billion.
