Uganda is the largest exporter of cashew to Egypt. The other countries which export  cashew are  Brazil, Tanzania, and Kenya in that order. The highly nutritious cashew has several natural minerals and vitamins such as protein, Vitamins D, C, and A, Iron, calcium, and potassium. Cashew intake is advised by doctors in limited quantities since 100 grams of cashew provide 550 calories.

Health experts say cashew contains no cholesterol. Its high content of magnesium may have a role in promoting cardiovascular health and reducing the risk of heart disease and strokes.
