Portuguese Secretary of the State for Maritime Affairs Jose Maria Costa and Egypt’s Ambassador to Lisbon Wael al-Nagar agreed on finalizing the maritime transport deal between both countries to boost bilateral trade

Portuguese Secretary of the State for Maritime Affairs Jose Maria Costa and Egypt’s Ambassador to Lisbon Wael al-Nagar agreed on finalizing the maritime transport deal between both countries to boost bilateral trade.

The meeting also discussed constructing and upgrading logistic zones at the seaports in the two countries with the aim to facilitate food supplies in light of the current global crisis.

The minister and the diplomat further discussed bolstering cooperation in the fields of energy, fisheries, fishing, and maritime transport. The meeting also discussed re-operating a direct flight route between Egypt and Portugal linking Egypt’s most favourable destinations for Portuguese tourists.
