South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda has called on Kazakh companies to invest in Egypt’s mineral sector in the proposed industrial city for mineral products, which will be set up soon. He was taking part in a discussion at the Egyptian-Kazakh Business Forum in Sharm El Sheikh yesterday (Sunday). He also informed the audience that the North African country would be removing all obstacles being  faced by investors while  doing business in the governorate to attract more investments.

Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Almas Aidarov said his country would establish a logistical city at the Suez Canal Economic Zone to increase investment in cooperation with Egypt.  He called on Egyptian companies to invest in the industrial and mineral sectors in Kazakhstan.

Earlier Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Niveen Gamea said in her speech at the Forum, which was read out in her absence,  that Egypt was keen on promoting economic cooperation with Kazakhstan and  called on Egyptian and Kazakh businessmen to identify potential projects that  could contribute to serving both countries. Egypt, she highlighted, took successful economic measures to strike a balance between achieving positive economic rates and maintaining the health of citizens.  The minister  also underscored   the importance of increasing the volume of trade between the two countries, which amounted to US$97.7 million in 2019.
