·         Elsewedy Electric SAE’s  (SWDY) subsidiary  announced that its subsidiary ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC for Transmission & Distribution of Energy signed a contract with the “SOCIETE NATIONALE D ELECTRICITE” (SNEL)  recently  in Congo.

·         The contract is to build a 220- 15/6.6 kV high voltage distribution substation in the city of Kasumbalesa, province of Haut – Katanga, with a value of US$38.6 million

Elsewedy Electric SAE’s  (SWDY) subsidiary  announced that its subsidiary ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC for Transmission & Distribution of Energy signed a contract with the “SOCIETE NATIONALE D ELECTRICITE” (SNEL) recently  in Congo.

The contract is to build a 220- 15/6.6 kV high voltage distribution substation in the city of Kasumbalesa, province of Haut – Katanga, with a value of US$38.6 million.

The project is for enabling efficient management of the flow of energy exchanged between the electricity grid of Southern Africa (SAPP) and that of the DRC. It also will improve the quality of  energy and the measurement of this energy exchanged between the DRC and Zambia.

ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC’s scope of work covers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the entire project on turnkey-basis.  It will be completed within 18 months from the project’s commencement date. The enterprise operates within the capital goods sector focusing on electrical components and equipment. It has subsidiaries operating across Northern Africa, Eastern Africa, Middle East and Southern Europe.
