Egypt and Bahrain pledge to increase economic partnership

Egyptian Minister of Industry, Nevine Gameath said that trade exchange between Egypt and Bahrain recorded US$552 million during the first 7 months of 2021. The most important items of trade exchange included vegetables, fruits, electrical appliances, iron, steel, aluminum and plastics.

The Kingdom of Bahrain ranked 16th in the list of countries investing in Egypt.  It contributed to investments worth US$3.286 billion  spread across  216 projects. These include sectors like finance, construction, industry, agriculture, tourism, services, communications and information technology.

This information was given out  during a talk held with Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahraini Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and his accompanying delegation. The two sides dealt with a number of issues of economic cooperation between the two countries and points of common interest.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the most important economic partners of the Egyptian state in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
