The EEP had set an export target of $18.5 million worth of power to its neighbours. However, the export revenue fell short of its target set for the period due to the lower demand from Sudan. Sudan’s demand for electric power from Ethiopia was for $5.61million in the two-month period. Nevertheless, its power export target to Djibouti surpassed by 15.38% generating a revenue of $7.42 million.
