European Union Head of Cooperation Arnaud Borchard said that the 12th European Development Fund (EDF) to be implemented from 2021-2027 will mainly focus on supporting the energy sector of Zambia. This is critical to Zambia’s economic development.
Mr Borchard said discussions with the Government of Zambia regarding the 12thEDF have been advanced and will be concluded soon. The energy sector is among the most important priority under the EDF. It accounted for K6.3 billion out of the total resources committed at of K12.5 billion provided under the 11th EDF 2014-2020.
