Econet Wireless, Zimbabwe’s leading technology company, has set a new benchmark for innovation at the 2025 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), where it emerged as the undisputed standout exhibitor. The company’s cutting-edge showcase, which reimagined the nation’s digital future, earned it a clean sweep of top honours, including the prestigious Presidential Award for the Supreme Zimbabwean Exhibit.

In total, Econet scooped four major accolades: Best Zimbabwean ICT Exhibit, Best Thematic Representation, Most Experiential Zimbabwean Exhibit, and the Presidential Award — a feat unmatched at this year’s ZITF. The 65th edition of the trade fair, held in Bulawayo concluded recently. It was held with the theme “Industrialisation: Crafting an Integrated Economic Landscape.”

The awards were officially presented during Friday’s opening ceremony by Mozambican President Daniel Chapo, the guest of honour, alongside Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
