The difference is that when these were done manually, it used to take a lot of time. Now such works are accomplished in record time. The drone technology has been put to use in the plantation sector. Because of the complexities involved in supervising plantation
activities on a day- to- day -basis, many people were reluctant to invest in the sector. But now the case is different. Plantation owners are deploying drones to update them about the happenings in the estates on a real time basis. More people are now coming forward to invest in the sector.
The devices have been imported into Ivory Coast in parts. But now they are assembled and repaired in the country. Experts feel that if drones are manufactured in the country, cost saving would be considerable and increased availability of drones can help many businesses including agriculture. But the rules and restrictions announced by the civil aviation authority of the country throttle the use of drones.
