Direct Flights from Kigali to link India, China soon

RwandAir will connect China, India and Rwanda by launching direct flights from Kigali to Guangzhou with a stopover in Mumbai. The latter is the financial capital of India and is a booming business center. The direct flight will start its operation on June 18 this year and the  round trips  will be operated three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with an Airbus A330 aircraft. The new air route will unleash  newer opportunities as Africa and China have seen increasing trade volume creating more  demand for air capacity. Guangzhou would be the second destination of RwandAir in the Far East. It already has a direct service to Mumbai. It is not known whether the same aircraft operating between Kigali and Mumbai will be extended to Guangzhou or a new aircraft will be pressed into service. Trendsnafrica.com tried to reach out to the RwandAir but was told to contact later. Rwanda and India share a good relationship and both countries are keen to up the scale and scope of co-operation. The new connectivity will develop the East African country’s tourism sector as Guangzhou is one of China’s most visited tourist sites with the iconic canton tower and Guangzhou Chimelong tourist resort
