- Speaking at the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), the Mtwarabased Dangote Cement Factory Chief Executive Officer Abdullahi Baba said that DANGOTE Cement in Tanzania may go for expansion in response to the fast-developing demand for cement in the country.
- He added that the plant was well received locally and currently, they are functioning with one production line. When the market develops and the demand goes further up, they will be ready for expansion.
Speaking at the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), the Mtwarabased Dangote Cement Factory Chief Executive Officer Abdullahi Baba said that DANGOTE Cement in Tanzania may go for expansion in response to the fast-developing demand for cement in the country.
He added that the plant was well received locally and currently they are functioning with one production line. When the market develops and the demand goes further up, they will be ready for expansion. The current production capacity of the Mtwara plant ,with an annual capacity of 3 million tonnes was raised to meet the needs of the Tanzania and export market. He said the company was happy to be part of the on-going infrastructure projects development in the country and thanked their distributors, dealers and consumers for their continued support to Dangote cement.
