·        There are eight African countries that have not recorded a
case of coronavirus as on Sunday last , whereas 46 African countries
have officially recorded cases

·        More than 1,400 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been
reported across the continent, which was much lower a week vback

·         The preparedness  and curative actions differ from country to country

There are eight African countries that have not recorded a case of
coronavirus as last Sunday, whereas 46 African countries have
officially recorded cases. The good sign is that recoveries are
rising, while the death toll has touched 50 marks for the whole
continent. Southern African countries topped the list of infected
region, while Central Africa is the least affected with one
exception-Sao Tome and Principe.

Experts are of the opinion that the possibility of the countries and
regions, which are relatively unaffected now, the virus can take a
toll in the coming days because of the movement of people among the
countries  and regions.

The eight virus-free group comprises the following:

1. Sao Tome and Principe
2. Comoros
3. Lesotho
4. South Sudan
5. Burundi
6. Sierra Leone
7. Malawi
8. Botswana

The list of 43 infected countries and the count  as on 22nd March
2020 is as follows:-

More than 1,400 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported
across the continent. The preparedness and curative actions differ
from country to country. According to WHO sources, the reporting of
the cases is tardy. There are possibilities for some cases go
unreported.
