Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari to commission the 17-story Nigerian Content Tower of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDB) in Yenagoa today at a virtual function. The facility will also have a 10 Megawatt gas-fired power plant and a 1000 seat conference hall. The tower has come up at the the Swali area of the Bayelsa State capital.
Importantly, the president also will dedicate to the nation the NCDMB Independent Power plant constructed in partnership with Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) to provide for uninterrupted electricity to the tower and other offices in the state.
Construction of the tower began in 2015 by Megastar Technical & Construction, which is a Nigerian based engineering company. The tower may have provided employment to many people and the facilities in the tower would be a major source of employment to many people particularly those who are oriented in the IT sector.
