PDSA/DMP Director General Mr. Djama Ibrahim Dabar spoke on the theme of “Global Supply Chain and Port Cooperation” before presenting Djibouti Ports as a regional and international platform. He also participated in a high-level roundtable on Silk Road Ports and Maritime Transport.
Djibouti’s PDSA/DMP management was invited to participate in the Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum, held in Ningbo, China. This event brought together more than 1,600 participants from 40 countries to join the MPF 2024.
Port De Djibouti SA (PDSA) has an ambitious plan to build the Doraleh Multi-purpose Port (DMP) in Djibouti. The total proposed quay line of the DMP will accommodate 16 berths and will be built in two phases
The conference aimed to consolidate cooperation and exchange port experiences. This year’s theme, “Improving Port Services and Maritime Transportation”, aimed to accelerate the construction of a key platform for collaboration and exchange between ports and maritime transportation.

This conference allowed PDSA/DMP to establish strong ties with Chinese partners in the port sector. In addition, it promoted the enrichment of the customer portfolio through various B2B meetings with new Chinese shipping lines for the use of the port of Doraleh.

These meetings have already resulted in the establishment of protocols for signing contracts and MOUs for port services with shipping lines specializing in the transport of “Break bulk” and “Dry bulk” goods.
