The Chinese leader said China would release initiatives and plans to support Africa in industrialization, agricultural modernization, and education. He further said that developments in Africa would provide new engines to the world’s economic growth and would contribute positive energy to international fairness and justice
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and China’s leader Xi Jingping co-chaired a China-Africa roundtable in Johannesburg on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit. The BRICS bloc of developing economies includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Now, it has inducted six more countries into the bloc effective from January next year.

Xi praised the joint statement between China and Africa and said it reflected firm support for African integration and would send a strong voice to the international community for solidarity and cooperation between China and Africa on international affairs and justice.
