The CBL said that the platform had been operating normally since the attack was stopped, as more than (17,900) reservations were completed on a single day alone with a total value amounting to (US$68 million)

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has announced that the online platform for reserving foreign currency for individuals was subjected to a distributed denial of service (DDoS) cyberattack, which affected the ability to access the system.

The Central Bank of Libya team was able to thwart this attack by blocking access to the system to any network address registered outside Libya. The CBL said that the platform had been operating normally since the attack was stopped, as more than (17,900) reservations were completed on a single day alone with a total value amounting to (US$68 million). 17,200 reservations were completed on Tuesday with a total value of (USD 65 million).
