·        The 24th session of the Cairo International Information and Communications Technology Exhibition and Conference (Cairo ICT 2020) kick-started on Sunday, under the patronage of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi

·        The exhibition is taking place for the seventh year in a row and is sponsored by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE)

·           The organizers have put in place several precautionary measures for the exhibition, taking into account the health and safety requirements for visitors to the exhibition

The 24th session of the Cairo International Information and Communications Technology Exhibition and Conference (Cairo ICT 2020) kick-started on Sunday, under the patronage of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. The exhibition will last till 25 November and  will take place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC). The exhibition has the theme “The Big Reset”.

Having the participation and sponsorship of major telecommunications and technology companies in Egypt, the exhibition is having participation from government agencies also. Several events will be held coinciding with the event, such as the PAFIX Conference and Exhibition for Financial Technology and Digital Inclusion. It is slated to discuss issues related to financial inclusion and the availability and security of digital payments. The third session of the International Conference on Transport Technology Trans MEA will also take place during the exhibition. Many new investment proposals are likely to  fructify in the field of transportation, technology, financial inclusion etc.

The exhibition is taking place for the seventh year in a row and is sponsored by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).   The organizers have put in place several precautionary measures for the exhibition, taking into account the health and safety requirements for visitors to the exhibition. The exhibition to be held under a hybrid model integrating the exhibition with the in-person and virtual meetings/ conference, will be participated by several companies in person and through the virtual platform, displaying their products and services virtually and at the exhibition venue.

The Covid-19 precautions taken by the organizers include automatic sterilization gates, temperature measurements of visitors at the external gate, thermal cameras, face masks and disinfectants, with a commitment to periodically sterilizing the various sides of the exhibition. Free masks will be made available to exhibitors and visitors.
