The Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamal Rezik, has announced the activation of the businessmen council between Algeria and Libya.
The announcement came at a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Trade in the Libyan Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Huweij, on the sidelines of the Economic and Social Council preparatory meeting for the 31st session of the Arab League’s Summit in Algeria. The Arab economy Ministers had assembled in Algeria to discuss the Arab customs union, the Arab vision for digital economy, as well as the development of an Arab strategy for food security.
The meeting between the Algerian and Libyan ministers dwelled on the scope to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation as well as strategic cooperation. The Algerian Minister has conveyed his country’s readiness to participate in the Libyan International Exhibition.

A statement issued by the Libyan Ministry of Economy and Trade said that Minister Al-Huweij confirmed with the Algerian Minister to organize a joint meeting of business owners and investors from both countries.
