Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema was officially sworn in as president of Gabon on Saturday following a landslide victory in the April 12 presidential election, where he secured 94.85% of the vote. The inauguration, held at the Sino-Gabonese Friendship Stadium in Libreville, was attended by around 20 African leaders, highlighting the event’s regional significance.
In his oath before the Constitutional Court and transitional parliament, President Oligui Nguema vowed to uphold the constitution, protect national sovereignty, and serve the people with integrity.
