Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with his local counterpart Dr Lemogang Kwape in Botswana recently and stressed the need for bilateral and diplomatic relations to give a critical push to trade and investment. As reported by www.trendasnafrica.com, the Chinese foreign minister has been on a five nation tour to Africa, as a part of its yearly program to touch base with African countries to expand its footprint in the continent. Apart from Botswana, the Chinese minister had/will also be visiting Nigeria, Tanzania etc.

He also assured Chinese help to actively boost the synergy of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, uphold multilateralism and enhance the voice of developing countries in international affairs.
