As reported by www.trendsnafrica.com, the National Electoral Commission had recently confirmed the win for the longest ruling party MPLA which attained 124 MPs while UNITA got 90 MPs.

The UNITA asserts that the National Electoral Commission, as well as the Constitutional Court, should truly carry out their functions, with strict respect for the Constitution and the laws. It also called upon the National Electoral Commission not to shy away from confronting the results in its possession with the copies of the figures in the possession of the political parties. UNITA has petitioned the constitutional court to have a re-look at the election process and to declare the election results null and void.
