The Angolan Government, through its Ministry of Tourism, has launched a far-reaching international strategy designed to strengthen the nation’s presence on the global tourism map. Minister Márcio Daniel emphasized that a central objective is to attract substantial foreign investment, a goal supported by the near-completion of the “Tourism Doing Business” guide.
This comprehensive document is being crafted to showcase Angola’s tourism potential in clear, investor-friendly language, making it easier for global partners to understand the opportunities within the sector.
Minister Daniel also underscored ongoing efforts to reinforce professional capacity in tourism. A major component of this is the development of a Tourism Academy, created in partnership with UN Tourism. Once operational, the academy will provide specialized training programs and award internationally recognized UN quality certifications, helping to elevate service standards and build a skilled, competitive workforce across the industry.
To further support the sector’s modernization, the Government has introduced four strategic initiatives—Capacita Turismo, Comunica Turismo, Planifica Turismo, and Reclassifica Turismo. Each project targets a critical pillar of the industry: workforce training, communication and branding, strategic planning, and service quality classification. Together, they aim to reshape the tourism ecosystem into a more coordinated, professional, and globally appealing sector.

A key highlight of the strategy is the promotion of a new national identity for tourism under the brand “Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life.” Minister Daniel described this brand as Angola’s global signature—one that presents the country as vibrant, contemporary, accessible, and rich in cultural heritage.
Further cementing its international ambitions, Angola has also secured the role of host nation for next year’s International Tourism Fair, positioning the country as a growing hub for tourism dialogue, business, and global engagement.
