Algeria Telecom officially announced the initiation of a significant new infrastructure project aimed at enhancing international connectivity. The project involves the development of a submarine communication cable that will link Algeria directly with Italy, strengthening the two countries’ digital and technological collaboration.
According to a formal statement released by Algeria Telecom, this ambitious initiative is being undertaken in partnership with an Italian telecommunications company. As part of the early stages of cooperation, both parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This agreement outlines a framework for collaboration that includes the mutual exchange of knowledge and expertise in the fields of telecommunications and cutting-edge technologies.
Furthermore, the MoU sets the stage for broader cooperation by examining the potential for launching additional joint ventures in the future. These projects may span various aspects of digital infrastructure and technology development, positioning both nations to benefit from shared innovation and improved connectivity.
