The announcement was made during a formal event attended by government officials, institutional stakeholders, and representatives from various economic sectors. During the meeting, Environment Minister Nadjiba Djilali emphasised the growing importance of environmental concerns in Algerian society, stating that they have become not only a social priority but also a catalyst for economic growth through green and circular economic models. She introduced the initiative as a key strategic project that will serve as a framework for organising and promoting green professions throughout the nation. The project is being led by the National Centre for Cleaner Production Technologies, with active collaboration from multiple ministries.
