President Tebboune suggested the development of a holistic approach using the most effective methods and investing more in the sector, with more in-depth studies to ensure the future of the coming generations. He also ordered to “exclude the mining of some rare earths” as they should be preserved for future generations.
The Council of Ministers of Algiers, at a meeting chaired by the president of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, approved a bill on mining. The president of the Republic said mining was of particular importance for the State, which requires land and modern resources for the development of this vital activity.
He also ordered the introduction of new technologies and scientific solutions and got rid of bureaucratic practices in research and mining operations. The president mentioned the “mining potential of the country, citing the marble industry.”
