Algeria and Russia are seeking to elevate their commercial partnership and broaden the scope of their economic cooperation. The Secretary General of the Algerian Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, Abdeslam Djahnit, met with a high-level Russian delegation to discuss practical measures aimed at boosting bilateral trade.
This meeting took place on the margins of the Algerian-Russian Economic and Trade Forum. According to a statement from the Ministry of Trade, both sides reviewed a series of mechanisms designed to increase the volume of trade between the two nations. Their discussions focused on expanding cooperation in several key areas, including export development, logistics infrastructure, and the harmonization of technical standards. The two delegations also emphasized the importance of fostering direct partnerships between Algerian and Russian business operators in order to stimulate investment and diversify trade flows.
In addition, the parties agreed to enhance coordination between their respective economic institutions. They expressed a shared intention to organize business events, trade fairs, and sector-specific exhibitions to create more opportunities for professional networking and commercial collaboration.
