· Airtel Nigeria, has renewed its spectrum license in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands for a period of 10 years effective December 1, 2021. The license will be valid till November 30, 2031.

Airtel Nigeria, has renewed its spectrum license in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands for a period of 10 years effective December 1, 2021. The license will be valid till November 30, 2031. The renewal has been granted by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Under the terms of the spectrum licenses, Airtel paid N71.611 billion (US$189 million) as renewal fees.
Airtel Africa Plc reported revenue increase by 13.8 per cent to US$2,870 million and Q3’20 reported revenue growth of 19.5 per cent. In its recent balance sheet submitted to the stock exchange. Bharti Airtel-owned company has 57 million subscribers and 27.58 per cent penetration in Nigeria. The revenue growth for the nine month period up to December was 18.6 per cent, with Q3’20 growth of 22.8 per cent.
