According to the announcement published on the carrier’s website, they propose to introduce three weekly flights with effect from June 12 between Paris-CDG and Dar es Salaam’s Julius Nyerere airport.
From Europe, Dar es Salaam is connected by Royal Dutch Airlines -KLM with daily flights from Amsterdam, a continuation of Zanzibar as well. Turkish Airlines also connect Dar- es Salaam.
Tanzania and Zanzibar are popular destinations for tourists from Europe. Europe traditionally accounts for the largest share of tourist arrivals in Tanzania. Its National Parks, Game reserves, Mount Kilimanjaro etc are perennial tourist attractions.

Air France connection is expected to increase the tourist flows to Tanzania as well as Zanzibar. Air France is also increasing its frequencies on several other routes within the continent. The carrier has announced more flights to Nairobi in Kenya and Antananarivo in Madagascar.
