Air Botswana announces new services to Namibia. Commencing these air routes is a culmination of sustained engagements at all levels of government and business to strengthen political, diplomatic, and business relations between our two countries. This new service will connect Namibia and Botswana more directly.

From October, Air Botswana will begin a service running three times a week between Gaborone’s Sir Seretse Khama International Airport and Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA). This route will continue to Durban, South Africa, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

These routes between the two countries will ensure increased people-to-people and business-to-business interaction between the people and businesses of the two countries, as stated jointly by Air Connect Namibia Chairperson and NAC Chief Executive, Bisey /Uirab in Windhoek. According to Uirab, these air connectivity routes between the two countries will certainly ensure increased people-to-people and business-to-business interaction between the people and businesses of the two countries.

In addition, from 1 November, Air Botswana will start two more routes: one connecting Maun International Airport to Windhoek and another connecting Kasane International Airport to Windhoek, each operating three times a week.

These services will provide access from the Namibian capital to two of southern Africa’s leading tourist hubs: the Okavango Delta and the Chobe National Park.
