Hamza Benhamouda, CEO of Air Algérie, has announced an ambitious strategy to expand the airline’s global reach and better serve Algerians living abroad. The plan includes launching new international routes, acquiring additional aircraft, and offering generous ticket discounts—particularly during important cultural periods like Ramadan and Eid.
Benhamouda underscored that the airline’s focus goes beyond commercial goals, aiming to strengthen connections with the Algerian diaspora. A notable part of the initiative includes promotional offers such as up to 50% discounts during Ramadan and up to 60% off for Eid travelers, making it easier for Algerians overseas to visit home during significant holidays.
Recent developments include the inauguration of a direct route between Algiers and Abuja, Nigeria, and the upcoming launch of flights to Amsterdam. These additions are part of a broader effort to position Air Algérie as a key player in international aviation.
