Now only two African countries are remaining to be affected with Coronavirus-Lesotho and Comoros. The latest to join the bandwagon is the island nation Sao Tome and Principe, which has become the 52nd African country to record cases of the COVID-19.
Comoros Prime Minister Jorge Bom Jesus confirmed the incidence after test results. This leaves Lesotho and Comoros as Africa’s virus free countries as of April 6. Africa has now 10,000 infections, with deaths nearing 500. Significantly, over 900 patients have recovered.

- West Africa = Burkina Faso; 364 cases, 18 deaths, 108 recoveries
- Central Africa = Cameroon; 658 cases, 9 deaths, 17 recoveries
- North Africa = Algeria; 1,423 cases, 173 deaths, 90 recoveries
