Africa Business Heroes Competition calls for application from entrepreneurs

The “Africa’s Business Heroes” (ABH) prize competition) will close applications for its third annual edition on June 7. Already, thousands of entrepreneurs submitted their applications in the contest, which will have participation from across the continent.

ABH offers 10 finalists a share of a US$1.5 million cash grant. It will give them an opportunity to share their success stories with others, besides providing them an ideal platform for  networking, training and mentorship opportunities.

ABH is a pan-African initiative. While it will have participation on a pan –India basis, the organizers of the competition are keen to draw more participants from  Southern Africa, Francophone countries and North Africa. The  countries they are focusing on for more participation are Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Gabon, Libya, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, Tunisia, and Zambia.

Two entrepreneurs from North Africa made to the Top 10 in 2019 and a Central African entrepreneur making it to the Top 10 in 2020. West Africa had  also made the mark  with 11 of the top 20 winners in 2019 and 2020.
