This time the presidentship will go to East Africa by way of rotation.  The outgoing President is Chadian Moussa Faki Mahamat.

Djiboutian diplomat Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Kenyan former prime minister Raila Amolo Odinga, and former Malagasy foreign minister Richard Randriamandrato are vying for the Presidency of the AU. It is a tough call who will win the race.

This time the presidentship will go to East Africa by way of rotation.  The outgoing President is Chadian Moussa Faki Mahamat.

The former Kenyan Prime Minister is the frontrunner among those who are in the ring. He has vowed to prioritize conflict resolution and tackle the underlying causes of instability. Mahmoud Youssouf has pledged to ramp up regional security and encourage unity beyond linguistic and cultural differences on the continent.
