Morocco throws open anew highway

·         The Moroccan government opened  a new highway project in the Lixus region, near Larache in northern Morocco, costing  MAD 150 million (US$16.3 million). on the Tangier-Rabat motorway, in the province of Larache

·         The new infrastructure comprises an overpass, five engineering structures including a visauct with pre-stressed and lanes

·         The project is part of Morocco’s drive to tone up its infrastructure and support tourism sector

The Moroccan government opened  a new highway project in the Lixus region, near Larache in northern Morocco, costing  MAD 150 million (US$16.3 million). on the Tangier-Rabat motorway, in the province of Larache.

Minister of Transport Abdelkader Amara and Minister of Tourism Nadia Fettah Alaoui co-chaired the inauguration ceremony of the junction and the Lixus exit. The project was implemented by the National Company of Motorways.

The new infrastructure comprises an overpass, five engineering structures including a visauct with pre-stressed and lanes.  The project is part of Morocco’s drive to tone up its infrastructure and support the tourism sector.
