Egypt will move to CNG as fuel for cars

The Petroleum Ministry of Egypt said that if the cars are run on natural gas as against petrol , there will be a cost saving to the extent of nearly 50%. The ministry sources revealed that the time needed to convert existing gasoline-powered vehicles to natural gas vehicles (NGVs) is from two to four hours depending on the car model.

The government recently brought out a report   on the  advantages of compressed natural gas (CNG). According to the report the new vehicle conversion system  will help improve the car engine efficiency and increase the car horsepower capacity.

The report  also gives the citizens tips  for converting  their cars to make it compatible with natural gas within the framework of implementing the State’s ambitious plan to expand the use of natural gas as a fuel for cars. It is reported that the government might go for a policy to convert the gasoline fueled car to CNG ones since it would also bring down the pollution level in the country.
