Cyril Ramaphosa gets formally elected as President

South African Parliament duly elected  Cyril Ramaphosa as the President. As expectations sour from the President, in his new term, he may be forced to exercise tight rope walking to carry out the reform process that he had promised to carry forward when he was elected to step into the shoes of the former President Jacob Zuma, more than a year ago. Before being elected as the President by the newly formed Parliament, Cyril Ramaphosa hinted about the composition of his new cabinet after registering as a Member of the sixth Parliament yesterday, which is being constituted, two weeks after he leading ANC to a creditable win bagging 57% of the vote share. The precedence is that party with the highest number of vote share forms the government. In his talk with the media immediately before getting registered as a member of Parliament, when media asked him whether he would have sleepless nights, he replied in negative but added that the new cabinet, which he would be forming would have the right mix of people with experience and expertise to take the agenda of ANC forward. The cabinet is expected to have a very good balance of gender, youth, competence, demographic, regional spread and all that needed to make a stable and forward-looking  government. The presidential inauguration is slated for May 25 as per the information coming out from the government sources. Now there is speculation as to who would be the dignitaries from Africa and beyond attending the swearing-in ceremony.
