Radisson Hotel Group is adding six new hotels to its African portfolio to bring the total number of hotels operating under the brand name to 100 across 32 countries in the continent.
Among the six new hotels that are coming up at various points of time include Radisson Collection Hotel Bamako, Mali, which will open in the next six months time. This belongs to the premium lifestyle brand, which is in the super luxury category. The next in line is the Radisson Blu Hotel Abuja City Centre, Nigeria scheduled to open in 2024. Incidentally, it is the Group’s first hotel in the city. There are nine hotels of the Group operating in the western African country.
Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre Johannesburg, O.R. Tambo is scheduled for opening before the year end. This will offer an array of dining options, including four restaurants; three bars, an entertainment deck and an executive lounge. Radisson Hotel Addis Ababa, coming up close to the Bole International airport is scheduled to open in 2021. The hotel, among other things, will offer guests a truly local experience in a traditional Ethiopian specialty restaurant.
Radisson Hotel & Apartments Accra, Ghana will open in 2023. It will have 121 rooms and an additional tower .The hotel, scheduled to open in 2023, is a full renovation of an existing 121 room hotel. A new tower will be added, which will offer 54 hotel apartments.
Park Inn by Radisson, Durban Intl. Airport, Dube, South Africa is the first hotel within the Dube Trade Port Special Economic Zone, which will be operational by 2022. It is coming up near King Shaka International Airport and will have 168 spacious and other added attractions.
