Qatar Airways resumed flight operations to Addis Ababa

Qatar Airways announced the resumption of three weekly flights to Addis Ababa starting 16 July 2020. An Airbus A320 aircraft  has been pressed into service for the purpose. The airline is offering 12 seats in Business Class and  132 in Economy.  Qatar Airways  earlier in July resumed flights to four key destinations in Africa viz Tunis, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, and Dar es Salaam.

The airline has scheduled these flights to connect with key US and European destinations, including Washington, Dallas, London, Frankfurt, and Paris.

The airline has kept up to date with the latest in international airport procedures and implemented the most advanced safety & hygiene measures onboard.  Hamad International Airport, the hub of Qatar Airways,  recently voted as the Best Airport in the Middle East for the sixth year in a row.

As a measure for enhancing safety measures, the airline has introduced Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for cabin crew, such as  gloves, face masks, safety glasses, and a new protective gown that is fitted over their uniforms. A modified service that reduces interactions between passengers and the crew in-flight has also been introduced.

The airline has re-launched 11 destinations on 1 July including Bali Denpasar; Beirut; Belgrade; Berlin; Boston; Edinburgh; Larnaca; Los Angeles; Prague; Washington DC; and Zagreb.
