Morocco has been a member of INTERPOL since 1957 and has played an active role in numerous international operations targeting drug trafficking, human smuggling, and terrorism networks. The 2025 General Assembly will also hold symbolic importance, as it will be the first session chaired by INTERPOL’s newly elected President, and the first following Morocco’s election as INTERPOL Vice-President for Africa in 2024—a milestone highlighting the country’s increasing influence within the global security community.
