· Dangote Cement plc is committing itself to contain the ill
effects of the pandemic by increasing its involvement in the corporate
social responsibility. The latest feat of Africa’s largest
conglomerate is the donation of 25 operational cars, fully equipped
with security features to the Ogun Security Trust Fund (OSTF) to help
the state to address the pandemic.
· The cars were presented to the OSTF in Lagos on behalf of the
management of Dangote Cement plc, byEmmanuel Ikazoboh, an independent
non-executive director.
Dangote Cement plc is committing itself to contain the ill effects of

responsibility. The latest feat of Africa’s largest conglomerate is
the donation of 25 operational cars, fully equipped with security
features to the Ogun Security Trust Fund (OSTF) to help the state to
address the pandemic.
The cars were presented to the OSTF in Lagos on behalf of the
management of Dangote Cement plc, byEmmanuel Ikazoboh, an independent
non-executive director. While presenting the cars, Ikazoboh said no
investor would be willing to put his/her funds in an economy where
insecurity was rife with lawlessness and chaos. Dangote Group is a
major investor in Ogun State.
Established in 2011 and refined in 2019, the objectives of the OSTF
include the maintenance of security and welfare of citizens. He
underscored the need of all partners in progress including industry
to participate in extending basic necessities like health, education
and security for the citizenry. That is the cardinal principle of
Public Private Partnerships, where the private sector collaborates
with the public sector in the provision of essential services, he
added.
Opeyemi Agbaje, executive secretary of the Fund, received the keys of
the cars and expressed the appreciation of the Ogun State government
to the management of Dangote Cement plc and assured the cars would be
put to judicious use.
