The United Nations received health supplies to support the fight
against the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria, one of the worst hit
countries because of the pandemic. The supplies include 10,000 test
kits, 15 oxygen concentrators, various personal protective equipment
(PPE), vaccines, IEHK/PEP kits, and other vital health supplies. The
supplies are co-financed by the European Union (EU) and IHS Nigeria,
the Nigerian subsidiary of IHS Towers. www.trendsnafrica.com has
earlier carried a story about the grant given by the EU to Nigeria in
its fight against Covid-19. More such supplies are expected in course
of time. The supplies are mostly meant for the frontline respondents
in the Covid-19, such as doctors, nurses and para-medical staff.
