The message also points out that this victory also has a strong meaning for the Cuban Communist Party, which has friendly and cooperative relations with Frelimo and Mozambique.
The Cuban ambassador assured that his country is interested in continuing to cooperate with Mozambique in education, sports, technology, and the health sector. Jorge Lopez was joined by Henry Lopez, President of the Cuban Medical Cooperation, who reiterated his party’s commitment to medical solidarity in Mozambique.
In turn, Daniel Chapo expressed his gratitude for the long and historic friendship with Cuba, recalling that it was in that country that the young people of the March 8 Generation were trained, who served on several fronts of the country’s development shortly after national independence.
Daniel Chapo also praised the presence of Cuban doctors in the country, who have supported the National Health System in the treatment of various illnesses. He reiterated his desire to consolidate relations of cooperation and friendship with Cuba, a sister country that has always worked side by side with Mozambique.
Daniel Chapo also received congratulations from Libya, through its Ambassador to Mozambique, Saleh Elbuaishi, who reiterated his country’s commitment to the development of Mozambique.
