The deals aim to boost cooperation between Morocco and the two countries in areas like training, exercises, defense industry, technical support, and exchange of expertise. Abdeltif Loudyi, Morocco’s Delegate Minister for the National Defense Administration, received today a group of officials as part of the 7th International Aerospace and Space Salon, Marrakech Airshow 2024. The reception included Czech Defense Minister Jana Cernochova and Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister General Zakir Hasnov.
Loudyi’s meeting with his two counterparts was marked by the signing of two cooperation agreements in the military and technical fields with both countries. The agreements cover areas like training, exercises, defense industry, technical support, and exchange of expertise in addition to military health and cyber security.
During discussions, officials representing their countries at the Marrakech Air Show emphasized the highly prioritized partnership with Morocco, expressing their admiration for the economic and social development achieved by Morocco. This makes Morocco a “player and a haven of stability and peace for its Euro-Mediterranean and African neighbors,” the Moroccan National Defense Administration quoted the officials as saying.
The defense ministers also expressed their willingness to further boost ties with Morocco through the implementation of the provisions of the Cooperation Agreements in the military and technical fields. The statement also conveyed the two officials’ determination to exchange visits and dialogue.

The airshow at the Marrakech military airbase will continue until November 2. The platform serves as a hub convening key players in the aeronautics industry to exchange expertise and sign potential cooperation agreements. The aerospace industry is one of the key sectors in Morocco; The sector is home to over 147 active companies that have to date created more than 20,000 jobs.
About 300 exhibitors are taking part in this year’s edition, which also convenes 75 delegations from different countries.
