African leaders, entrepreneurs, think tanks and media professionals are in Rabat, attending a three-day conference focused on accelerating solutions for sustainable development across the African continent. The conference with the theme “Media and Entrepreneurs: Catalysts for Sustainable Development Goals,” aims to foster collaboration and innovation in pursuit of concrete, Africa-centric solutions.
A key focus of the conference is the role of media in promoting and accelerating development solutions. To this end, organizers announced the launch of a practical school for solutions journalism, aimed at equipping media professionals with the tools to highlight positive initiatives and drive change across the continent.
The event’s agenda includes a series of roundtable discussions covering crucial topics such as Morocco’s growing economy and its orientation towards Africa, the synergy between media and businesses in accelerating development, and tailored solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises engaging in international trade.
Participants are engaging in dialogue around concrete initiatives spanning economic, social, ecological, educational, and health-related domains. These discussions aim to showcase Africa’s creativity and innovation in addressing its challenges.
