Canada’s Falcon Energy Materials said it signed a technical and strategic partnership with China’s Hensen to set up an anodes plant in Morocco to produce coated spherical purified graphite, a key electric battery component.

Under this partnership, Hensen and Falcon will collaborate to develop a process flow sheet to produce coated spherical purified graphite as well as a preliminary economic assessment to demonstrate the economic viability of the Anode Plant in Morocco and advance discussions with financial partners and local authorities, Falcon said in a statement.
