Governor of Cabo Delgado Valige Tauabo said that the project to replace the industrial network was one of the ways found to overcome the damage caused by the terrorism that has plagued the province.

The launch ceremony of a project to replace the industrial network destroyed by terrorism in Cabo Delgado took place recently in the city of Pemba, Zumbo FM reports.

Governor of Cabo Delgado Valige Tauabo said that the project to replace the industrial network was one of the ways found to overcome the damage caused by the terrorism that has plagued the province. Despite the present challenges, Mozambique’s economy is gradually being reborn, and projections indicate a growth in the domestic product of 13% this year in an economy of more than 100 billion meticais except for the mining sector, he added.

Provincial Director of Industry and Commerce, Nocif Magaia, said that the main objective of the project was to restore the industrial network destroyed by terrorism in the Districts of Mocímboa da Praia, Palma, Nangade, Muidumbe, Macomia and Quissanga.

The ceremony was the culmination of a long process initiated through the private sector launch program financed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in which the government of the Province of Cabo Delgado invested more than 30 million meticais into the Rural Economy,” Magaia said.
