· Ivory Coast’s Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban
Development (MCLU) had signed an agreement recently during French
President Emanuel Macron’s visit to Ivory Coast, for implementing a
project to simplify urban land administration and convert them into
digital format.

Integrated Urban Land Administration System (IULAS).
Ivory Coast’s Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban Development

simplify urban land administration and convert them into digital
format.
Ivory Coast has faced several difficulties in administering property
titles for many years on account of manual processing, leading to
delays and errors. That undermined the effectiveness of administering
and securing property rights for citizens.
The project is will eventually lead to the setting up of an Integrated
Urban Land Administration System (IULAS). Over time, the project will
result in speeding up the process of issuing administrative documents;
making land registry information secure, thereby reducing the number
of claims and legal disputes, Increasing direct and indirect revenues
for the State and in improving the business climate in Ivory Coast.
