President Emmerson Mnangagwa said that Zimbabwe must strive for prosperity despite the difficulties the nation is currently facing triggered by unlawful sanctions imposed by the United States.
Speaking to businesspeople at the Second Edition of the ED Mnangagwa Business Summit held in the capital Harare recently, the President stated that despite sanctions for the previous 23 years, Zimbabwe had proven to be robust saying sanctions would not deter the country’s development trajectory. He further said that sanctions were illegal, unjustified, and cruel to all the people of Zimbabwe. He claimed that if not for the unjustified embargo, Zimbabwe would be growing far more quickly and on a much larger scale.
