Marrakech’s Emerging Business Factory is now home to the inaugural Coalition for Climate Entrepreneurship (CCE) Hub. The hub is a revolutionary marketplace designed to empower climate-focused entrepreneurs and accelerate the deployment of low-carbon solutions across the MENA region.

The hub, officially launched on 12 December in Marrakesh is a joint initiative of the US Department of State, the Near East Foundation, the Elsa & Peter Soderberg Charitable Foundation, and Islamic Relief USA.

With clean energy investments surging from less than US$50 billion to over US$250 billion annually over the past decade, the International Energy Agency projects cumulative investment in the power sector to approach nearly US$17 trillion between  2012 and 2035. Recognizing the pivotal role entrepreneurship plays in this transformative journey, the US Department of State launched the CCE, which is a public-private initiative at COP26 in Glasgow. It unites government and private sector giants such as Salesforce, LinkedIn, General Electric (GE), ARM, Mass Challenge, and more, aiming to fuel economic empowerment and climate solutions in developing countries.
